Traditional candlesticks
Burley is a beautiful village in the middle of the New Forest. It is a centre for many festivals and celebrations throughout the year and attracts many visitors. Whether you visit for the witches or the Fairy Festival, enjoy the live "nativity" or simply enjoy the ponies and a cup of tea it is well worth a visit.
The Burley Range of traditional candlesticks has been designed to showcase the New Forests beautiful timber in its full glory. A piece of the forest on your mantelpiece or in the centre of your table provides light and interest to any scene.
All the wood for our candlesticks is sourced locally, designed and hand turned in The Forest. The wood itself determines how it wishes to be shaped and only during the final polishing process does it reveal its true beauty. Finished sympathetically with deference to the natural colours of the wood this range is completed with a polished wax coat to feed the wood and provide a fine gloss surface.

As can be seen from the photos above there are many variations available but all are unique. The central photo above shows a yew and laburnum laminated candlestick with is finished with a high gloss and hard-wearing Carnauba Wax. For those with more traditional requirements we make a full range of single timber candlesticks as shown in the right hand photo above. This one is in oak and again is highly finished with beeswax.
Many of our candlesticks have a special dual use too. Through use of our special design they are able to take both traditional long candles or tea-lights. Some have different size holes in either end and some in the same place so that depending on your choice you can make the maximum use of your product.
